ETHICAL SOURCING POLICY
Effective Date: 17/10/2024

At Lions Roar Fashion, we are committed to sourcing our products and materials in a manner that is responsible, ethical, and sustainable. This Ethical Sourcing Policy outlines the standards we uphold across our entire supply chain, in line with UK laws such as the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and the Bribery Act 2010, as well as international standards like the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.

1. Compliance with Legal Standards
Lions Roar Fashion requires all suppliers, contractors, and partners to adhere to all applicable local, national, and international laws, including but not limited to labor laws, environmental regulations, and anti-corruption legislation. This includes strict compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 to prevent forced labor, human trafficking, and exploitation in our supply chain.
Suppliers are required to demonstrate their compliance through regular audits and certifications. Any breach of legal standards will lead to immediate termination of our relationship with the supplier.

2. Labor and Human Rights

We are fully committed to respecting the human rights of all workers in our supply chain, and we expect our suppliers to share this commitment. Our Ethical Sourcing Policy includes the following principles:
-
No Child Labor: Suppliers must not employ workers under the minimum legal working age in the relevant country, in accordance with International Labour Organization (ILO) standards.
-
No Forced Labor: Suppliers must not use forced, bonded, or involuntary prison labor. Workers must be employed under their own free will, with clear terms of employment and the right to terminate their employment freely.
-
Fair Wages and Benefits: All workers must be compensated fairly in compliance with local laws, including minimum wage requirements, and must receive legally mandated benefits such as paid leave and health insurance.
-
Freedom of Association: Suppliers must respect the rights of workers to join or form trade unions and to bargain collectively.
-
Safe Working Conditions: Suppliers must provide a safe and healthy work environment, complying with local health and safety laws and international standards.
3. Environmental Responsibility
We require our suppliers to minimize their environmental impact by adhering to environmentally responsible practices, in line with our commitment to sustainability. This includes:
-
Sustainable Materials: Prioritizing the use of sustainable, organic, or recycled materials where possible.
-
Waste and Water Management: Implementing practices to reduce waste and manage water usage responsibly, as well as complying with the UK's Environmental Protection Act 1990.
-
Energy Efficiency: Taking measures to reduce energy consumption and minimize greenhouse gas emissions.
4. Ethical Business Practices
Lions Roar Fashion adheres to the highest standards of integrity in all our business dealings, and we expect our suppliers to do the same. This includes:
-
Anti-Bribery and Corruption: In compliance with the Bribery Act 2010, we maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward bribery and corruption. Suppliers must not offer, give, or receive any bribes or engage in any form of corruption.
-
Conflicts of Interest: Suppliers must avoid any situation where their personal interests could conflict with the interests of Lions Roar Fashion. Any potential conflicts must be disclosed and addressed transparently.
-
Fair Competition: Suppliers must compete fairly and comply with all relevant antitrust and competition laws.
5. Auditing and Monitoring
Lions Roar Fashion conducts regular audits and assessments of its suppliers to ensure compliance with this Ethical Sourcing Policy. We also encourage suppliers to undertake third-party certifications where applicable (such as Fair Trade or GOTS certifications).
Non-compliance will be addressed immediately, and we reserve the right to terminate any relationship with suppliers that fail to meet our ethical standards.
6. Continuous Improvement
We are committed to working with our suppliers to improve their sustainability and ethical practices continuously. We provide resources and support to help them meet our standards and grow alongside us.

7. Reporting and Accountability
Any concerns regarding unethical behaviour or practices within our supply chain can be reported directly to Lions Roar Fashion’s compliance team at quality-assurance@lionsroargroup.co.uk. . We encourage our suppliers, partners, and employees to report any violations of this policy, and all reports will be treated confidentially.
